There’s a stranger in my yard?

Inspections…What is one and why are they taking pictures of my property?

No one likes a stranger on their property, especially one with a camera!  But, it’s necessary in order for you to have the best protection available, at the lowest cost the carrier can offer. Think of it as someone looking out for you; by the way, that’s what we do!

Every time I walk back into my house from being gone for a few days, I walk around inside, upstairs, by the doors and windows and yes, even outside. I may be a little crazy about it (my wife thinks so), but I am checking for leaks, broken items, water intrusion, tree limbs, and more.  It’s my way of inspecting my home often. I suggest you do the same! Being proactive in protecting your property saves a ton of money and frustration. I, for one don’t want a claim. I’d have to pay my deductible, see rate increases at upcoming renewals, disruption to my family, and possible loss of my home and belongings. It’s a pain! Taking a proactive approach saves me so much time, energy, effort and money!

Since most people don’t do this however, carriers will conduct random inspections to make sure the properties they are insuring are being well maintained. As mentioned above, this is a very good service and free to you I might add. Keep in mind this is a random selection and if chosen you will get a letter telling you they will be coming out and what they will be doing. Also, once the inspector shows up, they will disclose who they are and will only be doing an exterior inspection so you do not have to be home.

Please look at this inspection as a positive experience where we as your agent and the carrier are looking out for your best interest. If any recommendations are being made by the inspection like cutting back trees, adding a railing, or replacing rotted wood, for example, please handle accordingly. We want you protected well! Remember, We’re Right Here Beside You!

Stay protected,

Erie Homeowner’s Insurance Inspection

Just an FYI that some of our Erie customers will be selected for a homeowner’s insurance inspection. An inspector will come to your property and take photos and notes regarding your property and home exterior. They will identify themselves and will not need to come inside.
Insurance inspections are beneficial because they can help identify potential risks that could cause safety issues or losses, so that you can address them and avoid claims. An inspection can also help make sure that the insured dwelling value is not too high or too low.

Life Insurance with Michael

How Life Insurance can protect your family and your business.

A personal life insurance policy can help protect your family from the loss of income if you were to pass, as well as cover any debt the business may have. Giving your family precious time to decide on the next steps for the business.

If you have a partner or partners, your family may be unable or unwilling to take on your role in the business if you were to pass. Partners having the necessary buy-sell agreements in place with a life insurance policy will allow them to purchase your share of the business from your family. This protects your family and the business from an unwanted partnership.

Lastly, if there is a critical or key employee whose death would have a severe impact on the business. Having a life insurance policy in place on the key employee, the company can protect itself from the loss and have the time to find someone who can help fill that void.

Whatever the reason you think you may need life insurance just give Michael Bolick a call at 704-795-6878. He will be happy to guide you to the right solution!
